… WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5:00 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON TO 6:00 PM CST FRIDAY …

 

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 5:00 PM CST this afternoon to 6:00 PM CST Friday.

Southwest winds will increase to 25 to 35 MPH by early this evening with gusts up to 45 MPH possible during the evening hours.  The strong winds will continue into Friday, with winds expected to diminish into the 15 to 25 MPH range on Friday night.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 MPH are expected.  Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.  Use extra caution.
