… WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT WEDNESDAY …

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday.

A cold front will continue to track across northern Illinois this evening.  West winds will increase to 25-35 MPH across northeast Illinois after 7:00 PM this evening.  Gusts of up to 40 MPH are possible tonight.

West winds of 25-35 MPH will continue into Wednesday, with gusts up to 45 MPH possible.  Winds will decrease to below Advisory criteria towards Wednesday evening.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 MPH are expected.  Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.  Use extra caution when travelling.
