Gabrielle Has Finally Come Of Age
Well, we skipped right over the Depression and went right to a Tropical Storm. “Gabby” is forecast to grow to just below Hurricane force in 36 hours. So far this year, models have grossly underdone the forecast winds and I see no reason they haven’t done it again. Look for Gabby to grow to a Category 1 or more within 36 hours. The water of the southeast coast is plenty warm and conditions for development are improving. I figure the target will be somewhere within 60 miles of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina late Sunday or early Monday. I’ll have more details tomorrow.
