Gabby, Fooling Around, And Did Someone Say 42?

Well, Gabby never quite got up to hurricane force as I thought it would.  Strongest land-based wind gusts I found were 58 MPH.  Gabby is now moving back over the Atlantic and will keep moving northeast out over the open Atlantic.  There are plenty of thunderstorms fooling around in the Gulf, off of the west coast of Africa and northeast of the Virgin Islands.  Any one of these or all of them could become Tropical Depressions over the next week or so.  Interestingly, tomorrow (September 10th) is the center of the hurricane season.  Get ready.  A cold front will hit later in the week and temperatures on Saturday may not get out of the 50’s.  WHAT!!!  That’s right.  Sunday morning’s low could drop to 42 in some areas.  Ah, can snow be far behind?
