Jerry? Ingrid? Karen?

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

It amazes me how things change in weather from near certainty to near chaos.  Well, I shouldn’t be surprised when it has to do with the tropics.  Just when it looks like Ingrid wants to play, she takes her toys and goes home.  Just when you think Jerry is forming as it enters the Gulf of Mexico, it now has three centers.  One lower, one middle and one upper.  Until these centers can reach a common consensus, Jerry must wait.  Or does he?  A new player has emerged.  An area in the western Carribean has flaired up nicely this evening.  Now this is usually the case at night, but this one has outflow.  So as it turns out, this might end up being Jerry.  Then if the Gulf system gets going, Karen.  Another wave halfway between the islands and Africa also looks interesting.  I might get my three storms afterall…
